Our farm is located in Albenga, in the hamlet of Salea, an ancient village of about six hundred inhabitants, nestled among olive groves and the hills overlooking the sea.

Nothing but Nature Around Us

Salea is a place of authentic charm, where time seems to flow more slowly and nature still reigns as the true protagonist.

Our land is located in the highest part of the hamlet, in the area historically dedicated to Pigato.

Here we have no ‘neighbors,’ no roads or sources of contamination: only vineyards, olive trees, and fruit trees that greet the rising sun each day and breathe the air that drifts in from the sea.

The Soil

The soil of Salea is unique: clayey, compact, and rich in stones and fossils, with a strong presence of iron oxides that give it its distinctive red color.

The clay, with its low permeability, retains water and nutrients, helping the plants withstand the driest periods.

The stones and rocks — abundant both on the surface and in depth — hinder mechanical work, but improve drainage and soil aeration, giving the roots balance and complexity.

The mineral richness of the soil is directly reflected in the character of the grapes and other fruits, imparting distinctive aromas and nuances to our products.

The Climate

The location of our plots is equally precious.

South-facing exposure: the vineyards and olive trees enjoy sunlight throughout the entire day, with constant irradiation that promotes photosynthesis and the proper ripening of the fruits.

Influence of the sea: the sea breeze softens temperatures, protects against humidity-related diseases, and keeps the air fresh and healthy.

Temperature variations: the hillside ensures shifts between day and night, a key factor in preserving intense aromas and freshness in the wines.

Environmental tranquility: far from busy roads or sources of pollution, our land is an oasis of unspoiled nature, ideal for organic and respectful farming.

Salea, Between History and Nature

The village of Salea is a little jewel of Ligurian architecture, with its well-kept houses, the narrow old streets, and a slow, authentic way of life.

Overlooked by the church of Saints James and Philip, it is the starting point of numerous trails that cross hills and valleys: from Mount Pesalto to Poggio Ceresa, from Poggio Grande to the Ibà valley, and on to the neighboring villages.

It is from this regenerating landscape, suspended between sea and hills, that our products are born. Every sip and every drop embody the strength of the stone, the warmth of the sun, the freshness of the wind, and the beauty of a land that continues to inspire us every day.
